Located in the Kumaon Himalayas, Jeolikote is a small village near Nainital in Uttarakhand. Amidst this charming village, is a beautiful home stay perched on a hilltop commanding beautiful views of lush green mountains and the valley below.

ABOUT THE STAY

This charming boho-chic cottage is owned and run by Bhuvan Kumari, is a vivacious lady who began her guest house with just one single room in 1994. Now she offers 5 beautifully designed bedrooms and welcomes guests into her space to enjoy the freshness and serenity of the mountains.

When Bhuvan decided to move to Jeolikot and start this property, the exteriors and interiors were nothing like what they are now. Friends and experts advised her to demolish the whole structure and start afresh, but the lady wisely decided to rely on her instincts and intuition.

THE ROOMS

Each of the five bedrooms has it's own theme - Peela Kamra, Chidiya Kamra, Neela Kamra and others. The walls have been hand painted by Bhuvan's daughter-in-law who lives on the property along with her husband and son. Each and every corner of the house radiates with vibrant and welcoming energy and every room has its own character and charm.

Out of the 5 bedrooms, three rooms are suites as they come with one large bedroom with a double bed, and a day room with a single bed, ideal for a family with small kids or for travellers who enjoy large and luxurious living spaces. Each suite has a private sit-out amidst lush greenery where one can enjoy a nice cup of tea and connect with nature.

THE HOST

The cottage is owned and managed by Bhuvan Kumari, a splendid hostess who ensures your stay is warm and comfortable. She has a well-trained team of cooks and help that ensure you are very well fed and happy during your stay at the beautiful cottage.

Bhuvan is a vivacious personality, and although she doesn't interact much with guests in order to give them their space and time, a few cups of tea or a nice evening drink with her, and you'll be laughing all evening with her funny stories and anecdotes.
