Owned and run by a lovely Coorgi family, the Plantation House is an absolute delight and an authentic homestay experience. The highlight of the place is its lush green surroundings, the hosts and the delicious food!

ABOUT THE STAY

Home to a lovely Coorgi family, this boutique homestay is a soulful experience. All the way from its charming rooms, to its location and delicious food, each element of the house is magical.

Built in the 1900's, the bungalow is an ancestral house and has been in the family for years. Recently converted into a homestay, the place makes for a beautiful stay experience in Coorg.

There is an independent room ideal for couples and a 4 bedroom cottage ideal for big groups of 8 or more travellers.

THE ROOMS

While the host family occupies the main house, they have an independent unit adjacent to the house, which is ideal for couples or a small family. The independent room has a balcony, a large bedroom with a double bed and sofa-cum-bed, and an attached bathroom. The balcony offers gorgeous views of lush coffee plantations and makes for a beautiful stay option for couples looking for calm and serenity amidst stunning landscapes.

There is also a 4 bedroom independent cottage for bigger groups, located a few steps away from the main house. The cottage is beautifully designed keeping in mind all necessary comforts for travellers The decor is tasteful and very charming all around the house. While the main house is more traditional in its structure and decor, the independent room and the cottage are a fusion of local art and souvenirs collected by the guests from their travels around the world.

THE HOSTS

The Divakar family are excellent hosts who ensure your time at the homestay is perfect! The entire show, all the way from attending to the guests to making some delicious meals, is carried out with the utmost care and perfection by the family.

While Sandeep assists travellers with suggestions on what to do around the property, walks to embark on, things to explore within the plantation, his mother, Mrs. Divakar spends her time preparing delicious home cooked meals for her guests. She does not have any additional help and prepares the food all by herself. You can taste all her love in each and every meal prepared by her!

For activity seekers, head out to explore The Namdroling Monastery or visit the various waterfalls that adorn the region. Make a trip to Balle Elephant Camp and spend some time with gentle giants!

For adrenaline seekers, you could rent ATV's to ride through forests or go white water rafting!
