ABOUT THE STAY

Originally belonging to Mr. Freddy Smetacek, a butterfly enthusiast who spent much of his life studying and collecting the different kinds of butterflies found in Bhimtal and around, this charming, heritage bungalow, has been renovated into a boutique estate stay, while preserving its beautiful, old world charm.

High roofs, wooden floors and ceilings, brick walls, verandahs overlooking lush greenery and butterflies everywhere, all its elements blend together to make this an ideal weekend break.

THE ROOMS

The humble abode is made up of 4 spacious bedrooms named beetle and butterfly rooms. These rooms overlook the cypress and deodar trees and offer all comforts for the modern traveller.

You can spend your time lounging in the living room with a book selected from the small, but informative library at the bungalow. The verandah behind the house, overlooking the forest is an ideal place to sit back, unwind and be one with nature.
