A hunting lodge in the past, Lakshman Sagar is now one of the most beautiful eco-friendly luxury properties in India. Mud huts with private plunge pools overlooking the lake, luxurious dining in mahals, spectacular views of rural Rajasthan, a beautiful rock cut pool and hundreds of dancing peacocks.
I am sitting amidst starry fairy lights and soothing sufi music in my sister’s beautiful home in Delhi as I write this. Looking back fondly at the last week, which we spent traveling together through Uttarakhand. Travel with me on this awesome monsoon journey through the state and discover some of it's hidden secrets.
Hi Wanderers! Welcome to The Wanderbug, my life project with one sole purpose - to discover and share India's best kept secrets! Since the young age of 4, I have been travelling through India, first with my adventurous mother and sister, and then on my own for the last decade.
I always knew that a desk job would not fulfil me and I needed to keep wandering and helping others wander. With this motivation in mind, I started The Wanderbug in 2013, and since then have planned over 300 journeys for travellers seeking to explore the magic of India.
I currently live in Goa & Himachal and keep moving homes every few years to experience a new way of life. I am constantly on the move, exploring different parts of India and my office is wherever I am - sometimes on treetops in the jungle, sometimes by the beach and sometimes in my sweet little homes :)
